On Thursday, November 27, the Jägersrohälsan Health Center was informed that Region Skåne was terminating its contract with the Liwia Health Center. We very quickly decided to offer all staff the opportunity to join Jägersrohälsan AB. This means that if you have been a patient at Liwia, you will retain your regular doctor if you actively choose to register with us.
We also secured a lease for the premises at Östra Tullgatan 6. According to the instructions in our agreement with the Region, we are required to submit a complete written application for a branch—including a description of the care services, staffing, location, facilities, and accessibility—to the Region for approval no later than 60 days before the estimated start date. The branch will always open on the first (1) business day of the calendar month, provided that the complete application has been received and approved by the Region.
Health centers may outsource part of their operations in the form of a physical clinic or branch. A branch is defined as a subdivision of the health center. The branch is affiliated with the health center and shares the same staff, contracts, and requirements.
The Jägersrohälsan Health Center has immediately submitted an application to Region Skåne for approval of a branch office. We are awaiting the region’s review and decision.
For the time being, if you need to see your doctor, we ask that you do so by phone, online, or at Derbyvägen 6E. For patients with long-term or temporary needs, we may consider home visits. Please contact us, and we’ll be happy to help you.
